Ljungby Machine launches the first wheel loader, which has a railway design with a drive on the railway wheels.

We have developed this version as requested by our customers and the market who demand a wheel loader that meets the latest requirements for driving on the railways, a requirement that the railway owners gradually introduce.

In rail operation, the front rail wheels are driven by separate hydraulic motors with chain operation, which means that the rubber wheels do not need to drive or be in contact with the rails. When the rubber tire has contact with the rails it can prevent damage to track gear and other sensitive equipment around the rails.

The machine can also be run in track follower mode, and then all driving is done with the rubber wheels.
The ground clearance is 145 mm between rail and rubber wheels which is uniquely high.
The machine is cross-sectional.
The machine combines through unique intelligence, seamless operation between wheel drive and rail operation.
The railway operation can be disengaged when driving with rubber wheels.

The system is fully integrated into the machine construction, as well as custom and designed to maintain the same high technical performance and quality that our other designs are known for.
The system can be dismantled if the machine does not need to have rail function during some periods. Rear mounting points in the chassis can not be disassembled as these are integrated into the frame design of the machine, the front fasteners are removable. It guarantees high reliability and function.

With Ljungby Machine Rail System, we meet the requirements, as applicable, according to standard TDOK 2013 0001, TDOK 2013 0002, TDOK 2013 0004, TDOK 2013 0005 BVF 929, SS-EN 15746-1, SS-EN 15746-2 in addition to requirements and standards as normal required on wheel loaders without rail wheels.
The machines are delivered TSA approved and the customer inspects the machine for work in the respective track area.

All system control takes place from the cab and is controlled by the machine's control system.
The rear rail shaft has a unique commute function for optimal rail tracking, but can also be mechanically locked in the flat position.
On the rear wheel axle there is a towing device type fork looms for connection of trailer.
Load arm movement pattern for track operation is controlled by electrical supervision.
The control of articulation is automatically locked in rail operation.

Most of our normal options can be selected for "Ljungby Machine Rail System", which means that you tailor your machine to be optimal for you. Ex optional 220 kW motor (standard 170 kW), lockup function for more efficient road transport, cab suspension for optimal working environment, turning brackets, GPS leveling / navigation of the bucket.
